I teach poetry and other courses at a community college in Oklahoma City. When I am not teaching, I spend time with family, friends, or alone. I absolutely love music, film, writing, and technology.

Some of my favorite bands are Snow Patrol, The Choir, Alison Kraus and Union Station, Band of Horses, Beck, Belle and Sebastian, The Brunettes, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, The Dixie Chicks, Elliot Smith, Essex Green, Fountains of Wayne, The Killers, LCD Soundsystem, Lucinda Williams, Lou Reed and/or The Velvet Underground, Mojave 3, Spoon, The Streets, TV on the Radio, U2, and many many more.

Some of my favorite films are M, Metropolis, Bringing Up Baby, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Apartment, The Graduate, Apocalypse Now, Requiem for a Dream, Dark City, Memento, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Network, The Truman Show, 1984, Equilibrium, and many many more.

My favorite software programs, which I use daily, are Opera (web browser), Firefox (web browser), Trillian (chat program combining ICQ, Yahoo, AOL, etc.), NvU (web page designer), Yahoo Music Jukebox, Windows Media Player, ITunes (use mainly for podcasts), Foxit Reader (alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader), Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 (use it for everything including revising poetry), OpenOffice.Org (office suite), Microsoft Office 2007, Windows XP (am not happy with Vista yet), and Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS 2007, and Freespire).
